Jill’s editorial writing includes service journalism, features, and op-eds. She brings an academic background when writing about fashion, beauty, wellness, sex, and gender and incorporates a variety of narrative styles.
As a brand consultant, strategist, and copywriter, Jill delivers results-driven lifestyle editorial and marketing content rooted in journalism and executed across digital, print, and video.
Jill’s first novel, Beautiful Garbage garnered praise from Vice, Galore, and Dazed, and was made into a short film. She holds an MFA from Columbia University and an BA in Sociology from Barnard College. She was the assistant director of Women Poets at Barnard, working alongside Claudia Rankine. She’s won various writing prizes throughout her career; in 2020, she was the recipient of a PEN America grant for fiction writing. She teaches various classes in writing and communications, as well as classes on the social politics of beauty and fashion.
