Jill Di Donato
is a creative producer, lifestyle writer, and educator. She holds a BA from Barnard College and an MFA from Columbia University. Her first novel Beautiful Garbage was published by She Writes Press in 2013 and produced as a short film. She’s a contributing writer to Modern Luxury and most recently, she was the fashion editor at Culture Trip. As a journalist, she’s covered celebrity news, politics, and style. She writes essays about gender, fashion, relationships, art, education, personal memoir, and feminism with credits including CNN, VICE, Los Angeles Times, Salon, Autre, Refinery29, The Katie Show, Huff Post Live, Bustle, Electric Literature, NYLON, Tin House, and Glamour.
For five years, she wrote a sex column at the Huffington Post. She’s taught writing, literature, and media studies at Columbia University, The Fashion Institute of Technology, and Barnard College, where she founded the Women Writing and Intersectionality Conference in 2013. She spends her time in New York and Los Angeles.
